Doctors and nurses at Epsom and St Helier hospitals have issued a warning to enthusiasts whether they are pros or amateurs.
They’re urging boarders to always wear a helmet, pads, gloves and start learning on grass or carpet.
The hospitals treated 800 fracture patients between May and July, with staff saying they don’t want board accidents to add to that figure.
