A home built by an Egyptologist, featuring hieroglyphics, domes and minarets, is on sale in Sunbury
Arnussi was built in the 1920s by Percy Stammwitz from the Natural History Museum. Outside is a semi-tropical landscaped garden. Above the indoor fireplace is the motto Pro Aris Et Focis, meaning For Hearth and Home, coming from the mounted police regiment, which Stammwitz served with in the Boer War. It’s on sale via Curchods for £875,000.
