A judge sentencing Sarah Everard’s murderer says there’s never been a moment when he gave the “slightest indication of regret

Wayne Couzens has been given a rare whole life order, which means he’ll never be released from jail.

Only sixty other prisoners are serving that term, out of a total of a population of almost 80,000.

The 48-year-old police officer tricked Sarah by carrying out a fake arrest in March – possibly by suggesting she’d broken Covid rules in Clapham.
