A one minute silence will be held at 11 this morning, to mark a year since a Metropolitan Police officer was killed in the line of duty.

Matt Ratana died after a gun was fired inside a custody centre in Croydon.

The force has also revealed a special memorial for the 54-year-old sergeant will take place in November.
