Police responded to reports of a theft on High Road and recovered a damaged bike sometime later.
The 16-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of theft, assault and possession of a blade article in connection to other incidents last week.
Last Tuesday he was reportedly seen roaming the streets brandishing a large knife.
