A watchdog’s found a series of failings after a prisoner's baby died when she gave birth alone in her cell in Ashford

The 18 year-old refused ante-natal care at HMP Bronzefield in 2019, but an inspector says staff should have regarded her as "vulnerable" and "frightened", instead of "difficult".

A pathologist has been unable to say if the baby was stillborn, and no inquest's taken place.
