Nando's, Greene King and Starbucks are among the firms which have formed a new hospitality council, as part of Covid recovery plans

The group will oversee actions relating to the 22 commitments of a financial strategy, launched by the government earlier this year.

The council's co-chaired by business minister and Sutton MP Paul Scully and chairwoman of Prezzo, Karen Jones.

The first meeting will be held later today.

Mr Scully calls it “a real Avengers Assemble” moment for the industry.
