A charity in Leatherhead is celebrating a million-pound milestone.

Queen Elizabeth's Foundation for Disabled People is trying to raise

£2.7 million over three years to build a new care centre. 

It will support people rebuilding their lives after a stroke, acquired brain injury, incomplete spinal injury or neurological illness.

The charity has received the £1 million  from individuals and the community as a whole over the last 22 months.
