A man from Balham has avoided jail, after tying up his partner and locking her in their home.

In May last year, police attended an address in Kingston.

At this point, she’d managed to free herself and found a key to open a window, which allowed police to get in.

40-year-old Aamir Hussain was immediately arrested upon his return.

He’s been given a suspended prison sentence, 100 hours of unpaid work, a restraining order, and must go on a course.
