A man from Croydon has been jailed under a new law, which makes it illegal to own some offensive weapons, even just to keep at home

Police saw 30-year-old Nicholas Tyrell throw some drugs out of his car, and went to search him.

During the confrontation, he became aggressive, and shoved an officer so hard he hit the floor.

After his arrest, they searched his home, and found drugs, four mobile phones, and a black knuckleduster.

He’s been sentenced to three years and three months in prison.
