It’s believed a fire at a tower block in Battersea was accidental and caused by a candle

Crews were called yesterday, just after 8pm, to a flat on the 20th floor in Westbridge Road.

A child was taken to hospital and 52 people left the building before the brigade arrived.

Smoke and flames could be seen coming out the top of the block.
