The prime suspect in the murder of Suzy Lamplugh who disappeared in Fulham in 1986 has reportedly launched a bid to be moved to a minimum security prison.

67-year-old John Cannan will go before a panel next year, according to The Sun.

He’s aiming to be moved to an open prison, which would allow him some freedom to leave the premises.

Suzy was last seen in 1986, when she left the estate agency she worked at to meet a man named “Mr Kipper”.
