Townmead Recycling Centre in Mortlake is operating at a reduced capacity, due to fire damage to its shed.

The site in Mortlake was hit by a large fire in June, with crews on scene through the night.

Richmond Council leader Gareth Roberts says it “wiped out the dust suppression system”, which is legally required.

That’s mean that large quantities of waste can’t be stored there, and so it’s being moved to other places.
