A man from Thornton Heath who stole a car, then used it to carry out another burglary, has been jailed
31-year-old Luke Young stole the Jaguar from a home in Epsom in February last year, but a lack of CCTV or forensics “left the investigation in a difficult place”. However, the car was spotted on a video doorbell the next day, at a home where jewellery, watches and an iPod touch were stolen. Detective Chief Inspector Jak Bowers says people can install CCTV, security lights, and tactically plant thorn bushes to keep thieves out.
