A man who sexually attacked a woman in Leatherhead three years ago has finally been jailed.

The incident occurred on the 20th of June 2018 at the woman’s home, and 27-year-old Jay Watkins from Dorking was arrested the next day.

He was released under investigation, but arrested the next month for a public order offence, during which time he made numerous comments about the attack.

However, in a follow-up interview six months later, he said he was under the influence of drugs and denied the claims.

He’s now been sentenced to five years behind bars.
