Coronavirus rates in Surrey are rising sharply again, as “the effects of the half term are wearing off”

They had been dipping over the past two weeks, but the rate is now high in school-age children and their parents.

It’s risen by 27% over the past 7 days, and only one borough has a rate below the national average, which is Woking.

Elmbridge is showing the highest, at 582 per 100,000 people, with the county as a whole showing 463.
