Homeless people are to be helped off the streets and given hospital treatment this winter by St George’s Hospital in Tooting.

They’ll try to stop the “vicious cycle of readmission” by working with GPs to solve other issues they may have.

Alex Bax, CEO of homeless charity Pathway, says it’s “great news” as winter is the toughest time of year for rough sleepers.

It’s being funded by the government, with £360,000 allocated for a 12-month period.
