People in Surrey are no longer being asked to avoid 999 if possible, after an IT fault was fixed

The South East Coast Ambulance service declared a “critical incident” yesterday after a “significant IT issue” on Tuesday night.

A spokesperson says “We’d like to extend a massive thank you to our staff and volunteers for their outstanding work”.
