A number of shops and buildings were evacuated in Croydon earlier after police were called to reports of a suspicious vehicle.
Cordons were put in place near West Croydon station at 3pm and trains and trams through the area were halted.
Specialist officers were sent in to assess the situation and a controlled explosion of the vehicle took place.
In
a separate incident, trams were cancelled between Reeves Corner and East
Croydon at the same time.
