The ambulance service for Surrey has declared a “critical incident” and is urging people to consider alternatives to 999.

The South East Coast Ambulance Service says they’ve had a “significant IT issue overnight”.

They’re asking people in Surrey to consider the NHS 111 online service.

They add that “our staff are working extremely hard as we continue to respond to patients”.
