The Ministry of Defence is going to be contacted as part of an investigation into the death of a young boy in Chertsey.

Spelthorne Council wants to speak to the MoD over claims chemicals were dumped on land behind Zane Gbangbola’s house.

The 7 year old died after his  home was flooded in 2014.

Spelthorne Council is also to seek legal advice on how they can test the land.

An MoD spokesperson has told us ;

“This was not an MoD site at the time of the alleged incident.

We have not received any request from Spelthorne Council, but if one was received we would naturally take it very seriously.”
