The MP for Carshalton and Wallington is backing a new law to give greater recognition to people with Down’s Syndrome.

 The Down Syndrome Bill will afford them legal recognition as a specific minority group.

This means that councils and public bodies, such as the NHS, will be required to meet the specific needs of people with the condition.

Elliot Colburn announced his support on a visit to the Get On Downs learning support group at Sutton Library.
