A promise to fix Hounslow’s roads has reached its target after the 81st street, under the ‘Pothole Pledge’ scheme, was mended.

More than £4 million has been invested, with residents invited to report the streets they felt needed attention.

Hounslow’s roads were already ranked as the top borough in London in terms of their level of maintenance.

Hounslow Highways, which delivers the road services, is also responsible for street cleaning and the removal of fly-tipping.
