Covid passes are becoming mandatory in nightclubs and big events in England today despite a bigger rebellion than expected from Tory backbenchers

Around 100 MPs voted against Plan B coronavirus measures, including Epsom MP Chris Grayling, Wimbledon MP Stephen Hammond, and Runnymede MP Dr Ben Spencer.

However, the restrictions were approved due to Labour's backing.
