Families and individuals in temporary accommodation in Spelthorne have been receiving special Christmas hampers.

The council has been delivering the packages, which are filled with gifts from the borough’s traders. 

There are 106 families currently living in bed and breakfast.

 This is down to reduced income, job losses and illness.
