Figures released after a Freedom on Information Act request have revealed the costs of policing protests by Insulate Britain.

The Metropolitan Police spent over £4 million pounds after major roads were blocked for three months causing massive disruption.

From September to November, Surrey Police spent £110,000 on overtime costs alone and expect the bill to be much higher.

Surrey Police and Crime Commissioner Lisa Townsend has said the actions will not be tolerated.
