Kingston Council has fulfilled its target to provide 50 Syrian refugees with a home, 6 years after it made the pledge.

Former Prime Minister David Cameron announced in 2015 that the UK would take in 20,000 refugees over 5 years.

Kingston was one of the first councils in the country to sign up to the resettlement initiative.
