Rough sleepers in Chelsea struggling with mental illness or addiction are being helped off the streets.

The council run “Rough Sleeper Dual Diagnosis Service” has helped 14 people enter rehab in the last two years.

Trained officers patrol the borough’s streets to identify anyone who might benefit from the service.

Those who do,  are helped into accommodation and receive personalised support plans including counselling, detox and rehab.
