Stephen Hammond says he asked residents to nominate those who have made a “real difference” during the pandemic.
He says that “many” people came forward to name the group, who organise food banks and laptops for children without access to online learning.
The group says “we’re lucky to have all your support” and “a massive thank you to everyone who thought of us”.
