The MP for Chelsea and Westminster has shown his approval as some of the world biggest record labels set out to tackle climate change.

Greg Hands has tweeted its “Music to my ears” as Sony Music Group, Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group signed a new pact.

The Music Climate Pact aims to achieve a 50 per cent reduction of greenhouse gases by 2030 and to decarbonise by 2050.

The industry plans to sign up to the Science Based Targets Initiative or join the UN’s Race to Zero programme by February 2022.
