A 16-year-old girl has been “rescued” after she was found distressed at a bus stop in Fulham Broadway.
H&F Council officers stepped in after coming across, as they said, an intoxicated young woman alone with a much older man. The two were sat at the bus stop in the early hours and the male had “his arm around the female’s neck.” The three officers managed to intercept the pair. It emerged the girl had met the man in a bar after becoming separated from her friends and he’d offered to get her an Uber. Hammersmith and Fulham Council has its own 72-person strong Law Enforcement Team; the first such team in the country. It patrols the streets, working closely with the Met Police.
