A newsagent in Twickenham has withdrawn an appeal contesting losing its alcohol licence, after more violations were found

In July last year, Hampton News and Booze was found to be selling alcohol illegally to schoolchildren.

An appeal date was set for Monday, but police found that CCTV wasn’t working, there were no staff training records, and no Challenge 25 posters.

They must now remove all alcohol from the premises.

We contacted Hampton News and Booze to ask if they’d be changing their name, and their response was “maybe” and refused to comment further.
