Kingston Council says it needs to save a further £7 million this year just to balance its books.

The authority is urging residents to take part in its consultation on how money is spent over the next 12 months.

Kingston currently has the highest council tax for the average band D property in London, at £1,693 a year.

COVID, the way funding is assigned and a growing population are being cited as presenting “significant challenges.”
