A man had to be rescued from inside a skip lorry, after it slipped into Twickenham Riverside

Fire crews and the RNLI were called yesterday at around quarter past three in the afternoon.

The tide was at its highest point, and the water was up to the driver’s side window.

A hammer was used to break the window, and the man was helped into a boat, uninjured.
