A series of trials and court hearings following a stabbing at Sunbury Cross Shopping Centre last year have concluded.
The
assault, which left a teenager with stab wounds to his leg, took place
following a fight between a large group of people last May.
A
series of arrests were made in the days following the assault.
18
year old, Kenneth Peat, was sentenced to four and a half years in prison at
Guildford Crown Court in October.
22
year old Ewan Glyn Tallett was charged with selling an offensive weapon and was
ordered to pay a victim surcharge and fine.
A
17-year old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was given a Youth
Conditional Caution.
Two
other boys, both under the age of 18 years, were referred to youth intervention
schemes.
The
final man arrested and charged, 22-year-old Ben Stanley pleaded guilty to
assault by beating when he appeared at court last Thursday.
He
was ordered to pay over £300 in legal costs, fine and victim surcharges.
