A deal has been signed for the final phase of a 5-year programme to upgrade signalling on a stretch of railway line between Feltham and Wokingham.

 

A deal has been signed for the final phase of a 5-year programme to upgrade signalling on a stretch of railway line between Feltham and Wokingham.

Work began in 2019 and the final phase between Ascot and Wokingham should be completed by 2024.

The overall project is worth £190 million. Work on the concluding phase , worth £23 million has gone to the engineering firm Atkins.

The line links Reading With London Waterloo and runs through Richmond, Twickenham, Hounslow, Staines and Egham.
