A wildlife hospital in Leatherhead says gardening injuries are to blame for a number of recent admissions

Wildlife Aid Foundation takes in and rehabilitates sick, injured and orphaned animals in Surrey. 

One of the first garden injuries of the year involved a hedgehog, while others have involved birds, snakes and slow worms. 

The advice to gardeners is to always check the area they are tending before using tools, especially if they are electric.
