Asylum seekers are to be accommodated at a hotel in Stanwell while they wait for their claims to be processed

The Home Office has confirmed to Spelthorne Borough Council that it will be using The Stanwell Hotel for the foreseeable future. 

The site will be the 6th hotel across Surrey to support those claiming asylum in the UK. 

This is a private arrangement between the Home Office and the hotel, which is closing to the public.
