Kensington and Chelsea council has been awarded over £1 million to help offset residents’ cost of living.

It’s come from the Government’s Household Support Fund and will provide immediate support for food, energy and essentials.

Part of the grant will be used to provide £480,00 worth of free school meals.

The borough also has one of the highest percentages of pensioner households and £645,000 will go to certain people within that group.
