Surrey Police says its continued activates across the county to prevent and tackle knife crime has resulted in the safe removal of 136 knives from the streets

They were all handed in at one of the county’s forces five knife banks.

Eighteen were recovered by officers from known hotspots in the county.

It’s all part of the national initiative – Operation Sceptre.
