Heathrow experienced more passengers than it can handle today, forcing it to tell airlines to cancel 30 flights last minute.

As that was happening this morning, the government was finalising its 22-point plan to help make sure the industry can cope with post-Covid summer demand.

It includes ways to recruit more staff.
