It’s believed that a fire in Feltham was caused by the unsafe disposal of a cigarette.

Emergency crews were called to Guildford Avenue on Friday just after 2pm, meaning the brigade had to work in “challenging, hot conditions”.

Nobody was in the house at the time, and there are no reports of any injuries.

We’re being advised to make sure to use proper ashtrays and always make sure smoking materials are extinguished completely.
