Schools across Surry are preparing to accommodate up to 1100 Ukrainian refugee children

 It’s the number expected by the county council, which has reassured parents that there will be enough spaces.

 As of June 6^th the council said 519 children had arrived in the county to escape the fighting. 70 per cent of them were in school.
