Today marks 5 years since the Grenfell Tower disaster which claimed the lives of 72 people

The inferno in the 24 storey block in North Kensington started in the early hours as a fridge fire. 

An ongoing inquiry into the tragedy has since found that cladding was a key factor in the rapid spread of the blaze. 

Firefighters, led by Norbiton based Fire Brigades Union, will join bereaved family members and survivors in a silent walk. 

A memorial service will be held at Westminster Abbey later.
