With Wimbledon Fortnight just around the corner, tennis fans are being reminded about new parking charges coming into force.

All of Southfields’ existing parking zones near the courts are being combined to form one single tennis event zone.

The zone will also include some streets in the area that do not have existing parking controls.

All households within the zone have been issued with two free-of charge temporary permits.

But pay and display machines, apart from those serving the shops in Replingham Road, will be switched off.

It’s to ensure tennis fans do not occupy residents’ parking spaces.
