Airlines have until today to scrap flights from their summer schedules, without being punished by the government

Heathrow-based British Airways this week cancelled over 10-thousand services between now and October.

The so-called "slot amnesty" was brought-in to try to provide certainty following months of disruption caused by staff shortages.
