LGBTQ+ carers can often use their own experiences to relate and connect with young people who may feel marginalised.
Executive Mayor Jason Perry said, “We need more foster carers from all walks of life, please do get in touch and find out more.”
The Council currently has 292 carers but need at least 30 more a year to meet the needs of children coming into the service.
