The driver of the tram which crashed in Croydon in 2016 killing seven people pleaded not guilty to breaking health and safety laws.

More than 60 people were also injured when the tram derailed near Sandilands one November morning. 

48 year old Alfred Dorris is accused of failing as an employee to take reasonable care of passengers.

He has been released on unconditional bail after appearing in court.
