There could be a Russian born champion at Wimbledon this afternoon – even though the country is banned from the championships.

Elena Rybakina switched to represent Kazakhstan four years ago and plays Tunisia’s Ons Jabeur in the women’s final.

She insists she doesn’t spend much time in Moscow anymore and is fully invested as a Kazakh player. 

This is her first Grand Slam final.
