Students looking to study at Kingston University this September are being urged not to focus on one particular subject option

Exam results are due on the 18th and Kingston says it’s expecting hundreds of calls to its clearing hotline. 

But the advice this year is to do as much research as possible on all courses before receiving results. 

Potential applicants should also make sure they’re ready to phone the Clearing hotline early on as they will get very busy very quickly. 

The University says there has been a perception that Clearing is for students who don't get their expected grades. 

But, increasingly, it’s a shop window for people who have changed their minds, who want to stay closer to home or move away.
